»The most important live discovery at Primavera Sound« – Rolling Stone
Cari Cari consists of Stephanie Widmer (Vocals, Drums & Didgeridoo) and Alexander Köck (Vocals, Guitars). They lived in London, Hamburg, and Madrid before releasing their debut album “ANAANA.” International media have alternately referred to Cari Cari as “The Lovechild of The Kills and The XX” (IndieShuffle, US) “with a pinch of Morricone” (FM4, AUT), or the next “Cat Power” (BestBefore, AUS).
Since their formation, the duo has worked relentlessly to create their own world. Everything, from music videos to stage design, is meticulously crafted by hand. This attention to detail is especially felt in the band’s unique live performances. With the tour for their latest album “One More Trip Around Europe,” Cari Cari filled venues across Europe and left a lasting impression with this extraordinary show.
