mathi – an independent newcomer from Hamburg, now based in Berlin.

In his songs, he mixes lyrics that are open to interpretation with choirs, orchestras and unusual sounds. Recordings from his mobile phone often end up in the song – noises from the studio, snippets from the street – things that seem insignificant but suddenly take on meaning. With this and a lot of thought behind every melody and every word, he creates soundscapes that are a little weird, a little beautiful, very close and most of all, touching.

With his first single in summer 2024, this is just the beginning. And mathi is happy about every single person who finds themselves in his songs – who lets themselves go and hears their own thoughts in them.
